Bonnie Pendleton
District 5730
Dr. Bonnie Pendleton joined Canyon Rotary in 2000 when she became Professor of Pest Management in Agriculture at West Texas A&M University.  She learned of Rotary 50 years ago when the Superintendent of Corning High School had her present a Rotary program on her award-winning science project. Her B.A. was in Biology with minor in Chemistry and M.S. in Anthropology from California State University, Chico. Her Ph.D. degrees is from Texas A&M University. 
 
Youth programs are her passion.  Bonnie started and advised the West Texas A&M University Rotaract Club since 2003 and helped direct and was a Rotary Youth Leadership Award Counselor for 3 years.  She was Canyon Rotary Centennial President, Board member, and pianist.  Bonnie is a Paul Harris Society member and Major Donor +3.  Bonnie served as District Governor in 2020-2021.
Patty Swink
District 5770
Patty Swink lives in Durant, OK where she is a member of the Durant Rotary Club. She joined the club in 2015 after she retired from teaching. She has served as the Club President three times. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and a sustaining member.
 
She is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she received her B.S. in education. She taught in the public schools for 25 years, one year at Victory Life Christian Academy and homeschooled her own children for ten tears. After retiring, she became a licensed insurance agent and now helps her husband, Jim, in the insurance business. Jim has been in Rotary thirty-five years. He is a Paul Harris Fellow +1 as well as a sustaining member.
 
Patty and Jim accompanied six teenagers to Japan on a short-term youth exchange in 2013.
Patricia Peters
District 5790
Patricia Peters, an Austin, Texas native, has lived in Denton since 1981. After receiving a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Austin, Pat earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Southwestern University. Pat also holds Masters degrees in English Literature and Library Science, both from the University of North Texas. She has had a 20-plus year career in libraries.
 
Pat has served Decatur Rotary Club in many roles since joining in 2013. At the District level, Pat has been RYLA counselor, District Literacy Coordinator, Assistant Governor, charter member of the Visioning/Planning Team, District Secretary, and Lone Star PETS facilitator. Pat is a Paul Harris Society member and a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator.
 
Pat is married to Jeff, a musician and retired IT guy. They have two adult children: Kerri, a high school theater teacher, and Chris, an actuary. Long-time members of First United Methodist Church Denton, Jeff and Pat sing in the choir and Pat teaches Sunday School, leads small group studies, and occasionally delivers the children’s sermon.
 
John Curtis
District 5810
John is married to Janie, his wife and sweetheart of 60 years. They have two adult children and a grandson.
 
John joined Rotary in 1988 in California and became club President in 1994. After a few moves, he became a Charter member of a new club and became its Centennial Year President. That club doubled in size and was awarded ‘Medium size Club of the Year’.
John has served clubs as Treasurer, Secretary, Chairs for Membership, Youth Services, and International Service. In a previous district John and his wife were co-chairs for Youth Exchange. Over the years they have hosted 10 foreign students and helped send that many to countries to gain that memorable experience.
 
In District 5810, John has served as Interact Co-Chair, Youth Services Chair, AG and DDF Chair. He is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Society Member and Bequest Society Member. John is a member of the Rotary club of Rockwall.
Karen Maines
District 5830
Karen Maines has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 42 years, has worked for two Rotarians, and is a second-generation Rotarian in Longview (Greggton) Rotary. She became a Paul Harris Sustaining Member due to her passion for Polio Eradication and reached PHF +8 this year.
 
Karen joined Rotary in 2001, and served as President 2019-20, where she kept her club meeting virtually every week though COVID shutdowns. She serves as Foundation Chair this year, and in past years has served in multiple officer roles. She has been a RYLA club coordinator, facilitator, and District Committee member for over 15 years. For many years, she has chaired the Police and Firefighter Appreciation Golf Tournament and Dinner.
 
Karen’s husband Randy co-owns Ben Maines AC in Longview and is also a PHF. Her daughter Alicia Taylor works as an aquatics auditor for Ellis and Associates.
 
Monica Gutierrez
District 5840
Monica Gutierrez joined Rotary in March of 2004 and is a member of the San Antonio North Central Rotary Club.  She was Club President 2007-2008 and has served District 5840 in several capacities. She was an AG, Executive AG, PETS Ranger, District Conference co-chair, and District Trainer. Monica traveled to India in 2010 to participate in a National Immunization Day in efforts to eradicate Polio. She also had the opportunity to represent District 5840 as the GSE Team Leader travelling to India in December of 2012. 
 
Monica graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. She has been employed at H-E-B for 24 years and is currently working as an IT Project Manager for the Digital Manufacturing team.
 
Bob Crouch
District 5870
Bob became a Rotarian on April 6th, 2012. He has served the Rotary Club of Killeen Heights in multiple capacities, including Programs Chair (RY 14-16), Director, Service Projects (RYs 15-16, 20-21, and 21-22), President-Elect (RY 16-17), President (RY 17-18), and Immediate Past President (RY 18-19). At the District 5870 level, Bob has served as an Assistant Governor (RY 18-21), Chair of the Career and Technical Education Scholarship program (RY 21-23) and has been selected as the District Governor-Elect for RY 22-23. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Paul Harris Society, a Major Donor 1, a Rotary Benefactor, and a Sustaining Member. He is also a member of the district 5870 Roll of Fame and was selected as his club’s Rotarian of the Year for RY 20-21.
 
He retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2011 and currently serves as the Vice President of the National Mounted Warfare Foundation, a nonprofit foundation with the mission to build a world-class Army Museum outside of Fort Hood, Texas.
 
Heather Rimato
District 5890
Heather Rimato is an Insurance Agent and owner of Rimato Insurance. She is the proud mom of Rylan, who is a frequent flyer in District 5890 and a champion for polio eradication.   
 
Heather joined the Brazosport Rotary Club in September of 2007 where she has been active with Interact for many years and was recognized as Rotary District 5890 Interact Advisor of the Year in 2018. She also served as Club President 2018-2019.
 
Sharing Rotary with Rylan has been and will continue to be the great Rotary moment for her.  
 
Heather is a Paul Harris Society Member and a Major Donor, and Rylan has just earned his PH+1.  
Amy Killgore
District 5910
Amy Killgore joined the Rotary Club of League City in 2009. She first learned about Rotary in 1996 when she was assigned to be the waitress for a group of "old singing people" at the restaurant where she worked right out of high school. Now, Amy is the Prevention Specialist for a local public school district and has been active in her club since her induction. Amy has served in many capacities within her club, including Club President, Foundation, Service and Public Image, and RYLA chairs. Her club has recognized her as a District 5910 Roll of Fame recipient. At the District level, Amy served as the first EarlyAct chairman and served as Assistant Governor, District Trainer, and Rotary Leadership Instructor.

The Rotary Foundation is Amy's charity of choice. Amy has been named a Paul Harris Society Member, Paul Harris plus eight, and Bequest Society Member. Amy's husband and two future Rotarian daughters are frequent volunteers at Rotary service projects. 
 
Luis Cavazos

Luis Cavazos is a Charter member of the Rotary Club of Brownsville Sunrise.   He has been a Rotarian since 1986 with
34 years of perfect attendance. Served as President of his club in 2007-2008 and has been serving on the council of past President and mentor since that time.  Awarded Rotarian of the year in 2006, 2009 & 2016. 
 
At the District Leve, Luis has served as Lt. Governor of Membership since 2015. He is currently District Governor Nominee and Lt. Governor Executive AGs.  Was awarded Rotarian of the year for our District on 2018-2019. Graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI).  He has collaborated at Zone 25b on how to create a successful District Membership Team and the benefits of the Ignite Membership best practices Program.
