2016 District Governors-Elect

BillDendyWilliam (Bill) Dendy
District 5810

William (Bill) Dendy is a founding member of District 5810’s E-club. Providing the choice of meeting in person or online, the E-club motto
is, “Rotary Your Way.”

In 2000, Bill joined the Rotary Club of Dallas, serving on the Club’s Board of Directors and chairing each avenue of service. He produced the club’s weekly newsletter, chaired Camp
Enterprise, and the Valentine’s Foundation Gala.

Within District 5810, Bill served as District Treasurer, District Assembly trainer, and cochaired two District Conferences. Bill is a Paul Harris Society Member, Major Donor, and
Bequest giver to the Rotary Foundation. In 2012, Bill was recognized as district “Rotarian of the Year.”

Bill graduated from the University of Dallas with a degree in Philosophy, and earned an MBA and Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University. Bill is a private pilot and
member of Mensa International.

BruceGoldenBruce Golden
District 5870

Bruce has lived in Austin his entire life. He graduated from the University of Texas with a Finance degree. He is the Chief Financial Officer for the
Karavel Group. Bruce is a member of the RC of Austin since 1998 with perfect attendance.
He is a 3rd generation Rotarian.

Bruce was President from 2009-2010. His favorite area of service involves helping children.

He was inducted into 5870’s Roll of Fame in 2012.

Bruce and Sharon have been married for 32 years. They enjoy traveling, golf and attending UT baseball games. They have two children, Bryan works for the City of Austin as a Sr.
Planner. Rebecca is a senior at UT majoring in Broadcast Journalism.

Bruce and Sharon are TRF Major Donors, Polio Plus, Bequest Society (level two), members of the White Hat Society and the President’s Council.

Rotary International South Texas
District 5930

Deborah High is President, Palisades Retreat Club, Colorado, a 96-year-old “recreational” fishing club. She’s the former Project Manager, University
Research Alliance, West Texas A&M University. Debbie is a graduate of The American University Kogod School of Business, Business Executive Program.

Debbie is a past Assistant Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Membership.

Debbie has received the Gold New Member Sponsor Recognition, Southside Corpus Christi Rotarian of the Year Award, and the Cliff Dochterman Award by the International
Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians.

Debbie and “First-Dude,” Joe, are members of the Rotary Club of Southside Corpus Christi, Paul Harris Society Members, Bequest Society Members, and are Major Donors.

She serves on the Lone Star P.E.T.S. Strategic Planning Committee and served as the 2015 Rotary Institute Promote Local Rotarian Attendance, Chair.

Their son Brian is also a Rotarian. Debbie and Joe have two adult sons and two grandchildren.

Eric immigrated to Houston, Texas in 1986. He met a girl named Sandra and fell in love with her. He married her in 1988.

They have a son named Blake.

He graduated college and became a doctor in 2001.

Just when he thought his life is complete and perfect, he realized without sharing and giving back to the society, there is still a piece empty in his life.

He joined the Rotary Club in Houston/D5890 in 2001.

Now, he is a husband, a father, a chiropractor, and a rotarian.

He is as happy as he can be.

Angelina Rotary Club
District 5910

Gig is a sixth generation Texan and a second generation Rotarian. He has lived in Lufkin, Texas since 1986 and is retired President of Davis Insurance Agency.

He joined Angelina Rotary Club in 2001, has twice served as Club President, has fourteen years of perfect attendance, has attended three Rotary International Conventions, the
2015 District 5910 Conference was his twelfth to attend and has attended three Rotary International Zones 21B & 27 Institutes.

He has served District 5910 as District Governor Nominee (2014-2015), District Governor Elect (2015-2016), Assistant Governor (2006-2009), Disaster Committee (2009-2011) and
Foundation Coordinator (2011-2014). He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow (+8), recipient of the District 5910 Roll of Fame and is a member of the Paul Harris Society.

Gig met his wife Lou, also a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, their freshman year at Southwestern University. They have two married children and four grandchildren.

District 5840

Judy Hutcherson and her husband John are members of Fredericksburg Morning Rotary. Judy served as Club Service co-chair, Secretary, International Lane
Chair and President of her club. Judy has served District 5840 as the World Community Service Chair, Friendship Exchange Chair, Assistant District Governor, HungerPlus Adopt-
A-Region Committee member, GSE team leader from District 5840 to District 2050 and is a ShelterBox Representative.

Judy has been awarded Rotarian of the Year and Service Above Self by her club, Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce 2009 Community Service Award, the coveted Rotary International Service Above Self award, AND Zone 21B and part 27 Global Alumni Service to Humanity Award.

Judy traveled to Afghanistan in October 2008 to explore Rotary projects with other Rotarians from the US and Australia. She and John have participated in National Immunization Days and work projects in India and Pakistan.

GLeeMontgomeryG. Lee Montgomery
District 5830

Dallas native Lee Montgomery graduated Lancaster High School and then Midwestern University in Wichita Falls. He was commissioned as a US Army Field Artillery officer and served six years in various European and stateside assignments. While on active duty, he studied Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma. He also earned his insurance and securities licenses and immediately began working with in financial services upon separation from the service in 1976. Today Lee lives with his wife Debbie in Tyler, Texas. They have six children and eight grandchildren.

Lee joined the Rotary Club of Cedar Creek Lake in 2003. He has served as club treasurer, president, assistant governor, and Lone Star PETS Ranger. Due to a job transfer, Lee transferred to the Rotary Club of South Tyler in 2013.

MaryAnnMcDuffMary Ann McDuff
District 5790

A Fort Worth, Texas native, Mary Ann McDuff, has made Denton, Texas her home for over 40 years. McDuff retired as Director in the Academic Affairs Division at Texas Woman’s University after more than 30 years of full-time service.

She credits her love affair with Rotary to her Group Study Exchange experience in Southern Africa. A 22 year member of the Rotary Club of Denton, with the classification, Higher Education–Retired, she served as the first female president. Completing 15 years as the Denton Club’s RYLA Chair, she led efforts to build a university and community program partnership.

McDuff claims service as Assistant Governor; District Trainer; Chair of Membership Development and Retention, RYLA, and Women’s Issues Committees; and PETS Facilitator. She is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Major Donor.

She continues to be active in her community and church.

BobGreenstreetDr. Robert W. (Bob) Greenstreet
District 5770

Dr. Robert W. (Bob) Greenstreet’s association with Rotary began as a result of service. He provided Four Way Test Speech Contest judges for several years before he asked about joining the club. Bob joined Rotary in 1990. He brought Jennifer in ta year later. Each has had perfect attendance since joining Rotary.

Bob served the Ada Sunrise Rotary Club as both President and Secretary. During his year as president, the club launched Latta High School Interact. Bob is a member of the Paul Harris Society. He and Jennifer are Major Donors. Bob cosponsors the East Central University Rotaract Club. Bob chairs both the Ada Sunrise Rotary Club and District 5770 Four Way Test Speech Contest committees.

Bob and Jennifer enjoy walking, reading, NPR, dogs, and their grandchildren. Bob is vegetarian. Jennifer goes a step farther; she is vegan.

SusanBrintsSusan E. Brints
District 5730

Susan, native Texan, graduated-Texas Tech University degree in Design, University of Minnesota master’s degree, Textile Research/Statistics, post graduate work Accounting. Susan and husband Cal own Texas Country Produce and Oak Creek Manufacturing. Susan is Executive Director, Texas State Certified Farmers Market Association.

Susan joined Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary Club, 1998, president 2006-07, perfect attendance. District level, Susan was Assistant Governor, serves as officer- RYE committee, Foundation Committee-Global Grants Chair, among others. Susan received District 5730’s Outstanding Rotarian Award, co-chaired D5730’s Million Dollar Dinner, is VTT Global Grant Team Leader, Malawi, Africa, and Rotary Certified Visioning Facilitation Trainer. Susan and Cal hosted numerous RYE students/GSE members. Susan is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, Rotary Benefactor, Bequest Society, charter member Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship and member Global History Fellowship.

Susan and Cal (Metropolitan Rotary member) have 3 married children, 7 grandchildren. Susan chaired/served on numerous community Boards including Deacon Chair, First Christian Church. Susan’s interests-travel, textile arts.
